Boko Haram: Nigerian troops kill three insurgents, rescue 33 in Borno

Troops of 28 Brigade on operation LAFIYA DOLE have killed three members of the Boko Haram sect.

They killed the sect members while on clearance patrol, in conjunction with hunters and vigilantes to Jaje, Borno State.

The troops also rescued 33 family members of Boko Haram terrorists, comprising 15 women, 6 boys and 12 girls during the operation.

Brig Gen Texas Chukwu, Director Army Public Relations, in a statement, said houses and property of the sect members were also destroyed.

He said, “The public are advised to always be vigilant and to report any suspected movements to the security agency.”

Few days ago, troops of 72 Special Forces Battalion while on patrol within Gbajimba, Kaseyo and Adagu communities in Benue State, destroyed some herdsmen militia camps abandoned by criminals.
